Delete Users (Option #10)

This option removes a single user or a group of users.

If you wish to erase all users, skip to Option #16.

First User

If there are users programmed into the unit, the VDT will display the instructions:

Use 4 Digits

0=Quit

1st User [____]

At the 1st User [ _ _ _ _ ] prompt, enter the number of the doomed user followed

by ENTER. If you entered this somewhat lethal option without meaning to, press 0 then

ENTER.

Last User

After entering the 1st User to delete, you will be prompted with the following instructions:

Use 4 Digits

0=Quit

Last User [____]

You have the option of deleting a group of users or just a single user. To delete a group of

users enter the last user to delete. For example, if the 1st user to delete was 20 and last user to

delete is 50, Users 20 - 50 will be deleted.

If you simply want to erase a single user, make the last user to delete number the same as the

1st user to delete number. For example, if 1st user to delete was 20 and last user to delete

number is 20, User 20 and only user 20 will be deleted.

After entering the user number, one of two things will happen. Either the user will be deleted,

or the user number you entered will not be found in the database.

If the code is found, the VDT will display the instructions:

1=Yes,2=No

Are You Sure? [2]

If you’re sure you want to delete this user or group of users press 1 for Yes.
